School Wrap Limited provide wraparound childcare provision for children aged 3- 12 years, with full registration on premises, approved by Ofsted. Under the Childcare Act 2006, Ofsted is responsible for regulating and inspecting the provision of childcare in England.

As part of the recent consultation on the new Education Inspection Framework for September 2019, it was agreed that settings providing care for children at the beginning and end of the school day, or in holiday periods, are no longer required to evidence outcomes for children”s development and learning, but are to remain focussed on meeting the safeguarding and welfare requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements of the EYFS are paramount to the day to day provision at School Wrap.

Team Wrap provide a wide range of rich opportunities for children to be super active and to explore the outdoors and the world around them – building strong foundations that will make a real difference to a child’s future. We educate children of mixed ages though play and discussion as we support children to experience the awe of wonder in the local area where they live, through the 7 areas of learning

• Communication and language
• Physical development
• Personal, social and emotional development
• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding the world
• Expressive arts and design

School Wrap is a high quality setting which is welcoming, safe and stimulating, and strives to support children to grow in confidence. Overall leadership and management place great emphasis on behaviour and attitudes, and personal development of children, and staff alike. Team Wrap recognise that children arrive with different, and sometimes more limited experiences, than others. We actively listen to children’s voices and chat with them to extend their vocabulary, understanding that interactions with adults can make all the difference.

Using the EYFS curriculum to enhance the experience and opportunities available for children, we endeavour to provide the best possible start to children’s early education and their future success – preparing children with the knowledge and skills for what comes next in their lives.
