Providing Positive Play Space

Team Wrap pledge to provide;

fun, freedom and fresh air!

Daily adventures outdoors with friends 🙂

School Wrap is Ofsted Registered (fully inspected June 2022)

The new Education Inspection Framework (EIF) September 2019) aims to raise standards and rebalance inspections through a renewed emphasis on ‘Quality of Education’ and less focus on outcomes data. This is extremely good news for us as a free-play setting. Ofsted recognise playworkers facilitating children’s play, rather than leading it.

At  School Wrap, playworkers leave the content and intent of play to the children. Playworkers enable play to occur uninterrupted and wait to be invited to play, supporting children when needed.

Team Wrap enable children to develop skills at their own pace, and explore their own values. Children at School Wrap are encouraged to decide what is appropriate behaviour, within safe limits.

Our philosophy and mission

All of our planning is underpinned by the Playwork Principles and the Early Years Foundation Stage. This means that we create space and opportunity for children to access every play type and lead their own play. As Playworkers, we observe and guide children, facilitate their play, to develop their ideas and support their development and leaning.

Meet Team Wrap!

Team Wrap endeavour to provide an inspiring environment for children and young people to play, learn and develop through free-play. We consider children’s current interests, preferences and learning styles. Children in their Early Years are supported socially, emotionally, and physically working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Young children are assigned a Key Person to help the child become familiar with the setting and offer support to complement learning in settings where children spend more time such as, pre-school, nursery school. We are committed to meeting the needs of every child and their families through dialogue and action.

Team Wrap are trained in Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid and Food Safety & Hygiene.

Overall Leadership and Management are further trained in Early Years (EYPS) Safer Recruitment, Enhanced SENCo, Behaviour Management and Protective Behaviours.
